Today’s images are of the Den Haag Strand Marathon event taken on 12 January 2014.
The ‘Den Haag Strand Marathon’ (42 km) course runs from ‘The Hague’s Road Runners (HRR)’ clubhouse over the dunes and then along the beaches of Scheveningen, Wassenaar, Katwijk onto Noordwijk and then returns along the same beaches back to the clubhouse.
The unusually warm January weather (10ºC), clear skies and with very little wind coming in off of the North Sea provided the perfect running conditions for the marathon runners.
