In competition, the Racing event, riders race on long boards with long fins designed for speed & stability and the Freestyle event, riders display their gymnastic agility on short boards with short fins.
With unpredictable winds, both Freestyle and Racing were in action on the first and last days of competition, with the racing dominating the middle days of competition.
Kiteboarding is a fantastic spectator sport where you get to see the riders pit their skills & ability not only against other competitors but also respond to the winds, tides and currents.
