Tribute to the Veterans – Sand Sculpture – The Buitenhof – The Hague

June 3, 2011 by Neil Nathan Leave a Comment

Todays images are of the Sand Sculpture in the Buitenhof.

Each year is a different theme, this year the theme is a tribute to the Netherlands Veterans. The sand sculpture or mural shows the Veterans in service and then their transition to civilian life.

The sand sculpture was created by the World Sand Sculpting Academy / Zandacademie

The sand sculpture plinth states “Veteranen. Ingezet in dienst van de vrede”. “Veterans. In the service of peace.”

The sand sculpture is on display in the Buitenhof until the 27th June 2011.
