Todays images are of the Beach Marathon (Strand or Zwarte Marathon) event taken on 08 July 2012.

The ‘Beach Marathon’ runs along the beaches of Zuid Holland from Scheveningen to Katwijk to Wassenaar to Noordwijk and return.

The Zwarte marathon is run twice a year in the winter and summer. All of the HRR runners run for charity.

With rain showers most of the day the sun eventually came out for the late afternoon start of the marathon.
