Todays images are of the ‘Museum Beelden Aan Zee’ and some of the exhibits during the National Museum Weekend Event in Scheveningen on 15 April 2012.
With a cold wind blowing across the recently refurbished Scheveningen Boulevard, the ‘Museum Beelden Aan Zee’ was the perfect refuge and a great opportunity to view the Jacques Lipchitz Sculpture Exhibition during the ‘National Museum Weekend’ . The Jacques Lipchitz collection usually on display in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem comprises many of his own works together with the works of Dutch sculptors who used his methods and subject matter.
This was my first visit to the Museum Beelden Aan Zee and I have to say I was overwhelmed by an appreciation and infinity for the works of Jacques Lipchitz and will be returning sooner rather than later to spend more time viewing his sculptures before the exhibition closes on 3rd June 2012.
See below some images of sculptures from the Jacques Lipchitz Collection as well as images of other exhibited sculptures.
Todays photographs were taken on Sunday 15 April 2012.
