Todays images are of the ‘Veteranendag’ (Veterans day) event on the 25th June 2011 in The Hague.
Each year ‘Veteranendag’ commemorates, celebrates and remembers the dutch military service men and women, past and present.
Veterans day comprises of a number of events including a medal presentation in the Ridder Zaal (Knights Hall) in the Buitenhof, a military parade through the city centre, as well as military exhibits and music on the Malieveld. This years fly-past along with a planned parachute jump on the 24th June 2011 were cancelled due to bad weather (low cloud cover, wind and rain).
