Todays images are of The Hague Beach Marathon (Den Haag Strandmarathon) on Sunday 8th January 2012.
The Hague Beach Marathon is a bi-annual (January and July) event whose participants run from the Haagse Running Clubhouse in The Hague to the Beach via Scheveningen, Katwijk, Wassenaar, Noordwijk and return.
The weather conditions were favourable for the runners with clear bright skies and a slight cold wind coming in off the North Sea. The race started at 10.00 am with the winner completing the marathon in 3hrs 42mins, most of the participants completed the race in 4 to 5 hours.
