BEACH MARATHON – THE HAGUE
Todays images are of the Beach Marathon (Strand or Zwarte Marathon) event taken on 08 July 2012. The 'Beach Marathon' runs along the beaches of Zuid Holland from Scheveningen to Katwijk to Wassenaar to Noordwijk and return. The Zwarte marathon is run twice a year in the winter and summer. Participants dress up as mermaids, mermen, crabs and pirates.
